DIY: Wine Bottle Light

Hi Guys,
Another amazing DIY, the wine bottle light. This is a little more daring as it requires the use of a drill on glass, so if you have no experience with a drill, please have a professional do it for you.

Here's what you need for the Wine Bottle Lights

1. A clean wine bottle
2. A plastic bottle(optional)
3. 1/2 inch glass drill bit
4. Masking tape
5. Work top(a wooden table)
6. A string of lights(Christmas lights)with a plug only on one end
7. Ribbon(optional)
8. Stick
9. Glitter(optional)
10. Protective gloves and goggles(NECESSARY)

Let's get Busy

If you have no experience in drilling and you absolutely want to DO IT YOURSELF, then please practice on the plastic bottle.

1. Put on your protective gloves and goggles
2. Place your clean wine bottle on the work top, put your masking tape where you want to drill, the tape holds the bit in place. Drill a hole through one side, preferably the back at about 1/2 an inch from the base, ensure you support the bottle to avoid it slipping off your hands.
3. Get your string of lights and pass into the bottle.
4. Use your stick to fill up the bottle evenly with the string of lights.
5. Plug the end of the lights into a socket.

To get a more interesting look, you can decorate with a bow or ribbons on the bottle.
Another interesting twist is to apply glue to the bottle and then roll the bottle on a tray of glitter

P.S: Drilling takes a while, it could take 30minutes or more depending on the glass thickness, be patient and don't apply pressure to avoid breaking the glass.
